With doors finally opening, the excitement had built and the crowd quickly started to fill the room and VAINSTYLE alum Adrienne Bailon found her way to her front row seat along with Miami socialites and a few of the designers of the collection.
The unveiling of the Beach Bunny 2012 Cruise Collection: Lola and the Beach Bunny Bride Collection, proved that to be just as exciting as they sounded. Both capture the very essences of sensuality, but in their very own unique way. Kicking off the show was a curvaoues model for the Lola collection, highlighting that sequins are definetly in. Model after model coming down the runway tapped directly into the colletions inspiration, which is that of 1930’s glam. There was lace, stripes, stones, various fringe affects, chains, sheer materials, sexy silohettes and of course one of this seasons hottest trends; animal prints.
While the clear overlapping theme of the collection was “less is so much more,” the transition to the Beach Bunny Bridal Collection, drained a portion of the shows excitment and momentum. As one would expect, there was a lot of white, frilly materials, and rhinestones and the designs and cuts were stunning: they will be great for editorial purposes. However, one can’t help but feel that they failed at thinking outside of the box. The same curvaceous model that opened the show, returned to close it and saved the day with a stunning yet literal piece of bridal swimwear, complete with veil and all.
Great way to close the show!

“I had the most amazing time in Martha’s Vineyard for the 4th of July!” Adrienne told Micah Jesse.
“I stayed In Oak Bluffs with a group of close friends and family. We rented bikes and rode to the main street everyday which was SO MUCH FUN! I hadn’t ridden a bike in almost 10 years! But it definitely came right back to me… I ate lobster rolls and fried shrimp at Nancy’s — a restaurant over looking all the boats on the dock, I visited Menemsha Beach where we all ate the tastiest fresh lobster while watching the most beautiful sunset! It was my first trip to Martha’s Vineyard but it definitely won’t be my last!!!”

VIPs are getting ready for some relaxation, Swim Week style. The Lifestyle Retreat Lounge is back for the second year Friday and Saturday at the Gansevoort. The exclusive invitation, open to models, celebs and so-called industry taste makers like Minka Kelly (will Derek Jeter be her escort?), Kristin Cavallari and Jessica Szohr. Former Disney star/TV personality Adrienne Bailon is confirmed to attend the private affair, which includes touchups by Mary Kay makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff, Brazilian blowouts, a Vitamin Water Zero Hydration Lounge and sounds by Miami’s own DJ Crespo.
